Our team is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences, and we're always looking for talented individuals who share our values and are eager to join our mission. **Key Responsibilities** As a Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for: * Modeling and delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience that exceeds our customers' expectations * Registering sales on assigned cash register, providing customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service * Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services * Resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience * Recommending items for sale to customers and recommending trade-up and/or companion items * Registering customer purchases on assigned cash register, collecting cash and distributing change as requested; processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed * Keeping counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, taking inventory, and maintaining records * Checking in and pricing merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader * Implementing Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss * Ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products) * Constructing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise * Completing resets and revisions as directed * Assisting with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies/procedures (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves) * Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products * Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance * Complying with all company policies and procedures; maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers **Essential Qualifications** * Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) * Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours * High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or experience in retail or customer service preferred **Preferred Qualifications** * Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred * Prior work experience with arenaflex preferred * Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) preferred * Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours preferred **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong customer service skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
