FIS Global is seeking a Senior DevOps Software Engineer Specialists to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of Kubernetes clusters on AWS. The role involves driving CI/CD automation and shaping enterprise-scale infrastructure to enhance mission-critical systems.
Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy Kubernetes clusters using Kops on AWS with full lifecycle management (installation, upgrades, disaster recovery)
- Optimize cluster components (CoreDNS, Calico networking, HPA, node autoscaler) for high-availability infrastructure
- Lead strategic technology migrations across CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, SonarQube, HashiCorp Vault, Nexus, Atlassian suite: Jira Data Center, Confluence, Crowd, Bitbucket)
- Reduce downtime by 40% through careful planning and zero-downtime deployment
- Design robust CI/CD pipelines for source code management, automated builds, testing, security scanning, artifact management across multi-region environments
- Engineer enterprise-grade Harbor Scripter registry with 99.9% uptime and distributed mirrors
- Implement secret management using HashiCorp Vault (open-source and enterprise) with audit logging and automated rotation
- Architect multi-database solutions including AWS managed services (RDS with PostgreSQL/Oracle, DynamoDB, S3, EBS, EFS) and self-managed solutions (Redis, Raft, H2)
- Optimize database performance and availability
- Design global multi-region failover using AWS Route 53 with CloudWatch monitoring
- Implement automated routing for critical components (Harbor Registry, Bitbucket Mirror, Nexus Mirror)
- Lead infrastructure-as-code using Terraform for AWS resources
- Automate provisioning across regions, reducing configuration by 60%
- Architect Helm charts for applications with practices
- Develop Python-based automation for log aggregation and monitoring
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer and Information Sciences or related field
- Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation
- Performing Infrastructure design using AWS
- Maintaining Kubernetes clusters using KOPS
- Utilizing Terraform Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Creating and maintaining software delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins
- Performing containerization packages and managing containers
- Hosting, deploying and administered Atlassian tools
- Utilizing Python for automation and scripting
- Managing Alerts & Monitoring using AWS CloudWatch
