**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Analyst to join our Quality Control Standards team as a Summer 2024 Data Analyst Intern. The successful candidate will drive a culture of safety, efficiency, and innovation by identifying statistical patterns and performance metrics to improve the Quality Control division. The Data Analyst Intern will assist in using data to create, present, and make suggestions for groundbreaking ideas and projects, as well as perform basic analysis to alleviate the risk of resistance through process improvements.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Perform and assist others in the Quality Control group in ideal data collection, validation, and root cause analysis on data components.
* Help with creating and presenting results from complex data and analysis for both technical and non-technical clients and leaders.
* Assist with exploring ad-hoc requests resulting from emerging maintenance issues and provide logical answers to enable Senior Leaders to make business decisions while adjusting existing project responsibilities.
* Present insights, patterns, and potential recommendations by using data visualization tools supporting the relevant marks of the investigation to ease partner understanding.
* Help with creating and disseminating specific queries to pull and coordinate data from different sources, laying out the rhythm, and approving the need of the data requirements.
* Identify irregularities in processes through reviews/audits and convey findings to the team.
* Assess the effectiveness of processes and methods by observing for patterns and errors.
* Ensure that a compliance mindset is at the forefront of every decision.
* May perform other work duties as directed by Group Leader.
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze large datasets with care and accuracy.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively listen, understand, and convey ideas and present findings in writing, verbally, or through presentations to diverse audiences.
* Ability to evaluate business issues, identify valuable opportunities for data needs, and interpret resulting metrics.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong understanding of data visualization tools and capacities (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx, QuickBase).
* Ability to grasp the issue, summarize, and perform root cause analysis on data, and provide recommendations using logic and reasoning.
* Willingness to use PowerPoint to build presentations for verbal communications.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Past internship, capstone project, or research coursework in a related field.
* Ability to work independently in a team-oriented, help/group-based environment.
* Ability to focus on responsibilities diligently and be a self-motivated individual.
* Past internship experience in a related field.
* Ability to manage sensitive and confidential data appropriately.
* Ability to plan and support large business initiatives.
