I have a project that I’ve worked on for a while. It’s a 3D roguelite built in Unity with decent, close to AA visuals. I've put a lot of work into the project and funds, but it’s sitting on the shelf right now. I don’t have the additional funds to pour into it full-time, and it lacks the deep gameplay mechanics and hooks necessary to really "wow" a publisher. It's a great candidate for colaborative input from an experienced designer to push it further.
Who I am: I’ve got 15 years in the industry, including shipping high-profile indie and mobile titles. I handle the heavy lifting on engineering, art direction, and production. I've also done a lot of project management, architecture etc.
Who I’m looking for: I need a seasoned Game Designer
.
The Role:
• Take the existing prototype and inject it with interesting, cohesive game design features.
• Help formulate the full vertical slice strategy.
• Create and polish the pitch materials (pitch deck, structuring the narrative, mechanics etc, create fully detailed, finalized, polished pitch deck).
• Help me actually pitch it to publishers.
The Deal: I don’t have cash for this right now. This is a sweat-equity/partnership arrangement. I am looking to offer a vested income arrangement. The project has currently about 8 months of senior developerment work in. I can offer 10% vested equity, if you can land a publisher and then stay with the project as a game designer. That would also include salary once publisher is secured.
Please only apply if you are a senior and have released commercial titles. This position requires experienced, highly productive individual who can jump on this for few weeks, create stellar pitch and help charge on the design and actual pitching process.
I have a Steam page ready and a playable build. If this sounds like a calculation you're willing to make, send me a message with your portfolio/shipped games, and let's have a call.
