Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SoftStandard Solutions is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to design and deploy machine learning models. The role involves developing Generative AI applications, optimizing models for production, and collaborating with various stakeholders to improve model performance.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy machine learning and deep learning models
- Develop and maintain Generative AI and LLM-based applications
- Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using vector databases
- Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation
- Fine-tune and optimize machine learning models for production environments
- Develop REST APIs using FastAPI or Flask for AI model deployment
- Implement MLOps practices for model training, monitoring, and versioning
- Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
- Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders
- Monitor model performance and continuously improve accuracy and scalability
- Follow software engineering best practices, including CI/CD and code reviews
Skills
- 5–8 years of experience in AI/ML development
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Hands-on experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
- Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT, Llama, or Claude
- Knowledge of LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar AI orchestration frameworks
- Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Familiarity with vector databases such as Pinecone, FAISS, ChromaDB, or Weaviate
- Strong understanding of NLP, deep learning, and machine learning algorithms
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of MLOps tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, or SageMaker
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field
- Experience with Databricks or Snowflake
- Knowledge of Apache Spark or Kafka
- Experience with Hugging Face Transformers
- Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI agent frameworks
- Exposure to computer vision or speech AI is a plus
