About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to support our New York City property tax appeal operations. This role combines client communication, document processing, analytical work, and operational support.
The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and eager to learn. You should be comfortable communicating in English with clients and handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Client Communication & Information Collection (35%)
Communicate with clients and their staff via phone and email in English
Follow up to obtain required documents, signatures, and supporting information
Clarify questions related to property information and submitted forms
Support internal analysts by ensuring accurate and timely information collection
Call Management (15%)
Assist with directing and handling incoming calls
Provide professional and timely communication to clients and partners
Property Tax Appeal & Administrative Support (50%)
Prepare and process property tax appeal documents and applications for the NYC Tax Commission
Review property assessments and assist with tax appeal hearing preparation and analysis
Maintain accurate records and update information within company systems
Organize and prepare property income and expense documentation
Collaborate with the Tax Appeal team to improve workflows and operational efficiency
Support marketing initiatives by updating property records and coordinating mailings
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
C1 English proficiency (written and verbal)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Learning agility and willingness to continuously develop new skills
Sense of urgency and ability to motivate clients to respond promptly
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Reliable high-speed internet connection
Interest in real estate or investment properties is a plus

Occasional weekend work may be required during peak periods in February and May (additional compensation provided)

Aligned to U.S. Eastern Time:
9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST
Equivalent Costa Rica schedule:
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (November–March)
7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (March–November)
Compensation
USD $1,750 per month
