• Must be a US Citizen / Green Card Holder* • Must be willing to work on our W2* Job ID: 2688 Open Positions: 3 Location: Remote, United States Work Schedule: 100% Remote, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Contract Length: June 1, 2026 – May 31, 2027 Employment Type: Contract Pay Type: Hourly Max Bill Rate: $50/hour Hours: 40 hours/week Travel: None Interview Process: One virtual interview with 1–2 team members About the Role We are seeking experienced Mechanical Design Engineers to support the design and analysis of gas turbine hot gas path and rotor components for heavy-duty gas turbine and aeroderivative engine applications. This role will work closely with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and supply chain teams to ensure hardware meets product requirements, design practices, and quality expectations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with turbine component design, engineering analysis, ANSYS, and CAD tools such as NX. Key Responsibilities • Perform mechanical design and analysis of heavy-duty and aeroderivative gas turbine components. • Evaluate hot gas path and rotor components, including turbine blades, nozzles, shrouds, and rotors. • Execute assigned hardware design and evaluation tasks using sound engineering principles. • Ensure designs comply with business standards, procedures, product requirements, and program expectations. • Participate in formal and informal technical reviews for design tasks and outputs. • Collaborate with engineering title holders, heat transfer teams, manufacturing, sourcing, and supply chain teams. • Support component and subsystem optimization with a focus on: • Design for Cost • Design for Variation • Design for Manufacturability • Product and lifecycle cost improvements Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering/Science discipline from an accredited college or university. • 4–8 years of engineering analysis experience. • Experience with mechanical design and analysis of gas turbine components. Required Skills and Experience • Prior experience designing and analyzing turbine blades, nozzles, shrouds, and/or rotors. • Hands-on experience using ANSYS for engineering analysis. • Proficiency with CAD software, preferably NX. • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles. • Ability to apply engineering fundamentals to component design and analysis. • Effective written and verbal communication skills. • Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional engineering teams. Preferred Candidate Profile The strongest candidates will have direct experience with gas turbine hot gas path components, rotor components, ANSYS analysis, and NX CAD design. Experience supporting heavy-duty gas turbine or aeroderivative engine programs is highly preferred. Additional Details • Remote role with standard 8–5 business hours. • No travel required. • Contract-only opportunity. • Non-exempt hourly position.
