As part of Hexion’s digital transformation strategy, we are building a next-generation industrial edge-to-cloud platform that integrates operational technology (OT), industrial data, advanced analytics, AI, and digital twin technologies to drive manufacturing performance and create scalable customer-facing solutions.    We are seeking a Principal Manufacturing IOT & OT Security Architect to establish the security architecture and governance framework that enables industrial AI and analytics while protecting critical manufacturing operations.    The Principal Manufacturing IOT & OT Security Architect is responsible for defining and governing the secure integration of industrial control systems, edge computing, cloud platforms, digital twins, and AI-driven applications across Hexion’s manufacturing environments.  This role serves as the primary authority for industrial cybersecurity architecture and will ensure that all digital manufacturing initiatives align with:    Purdue Enterprise Reference Architecture  IEC 62443 Industrial Security Standards  NIST Cybersecurity Framework  NIST SP 800-82 Industrial Control Systems Guidance  Corporate security policies and regulatory requirements    The successful candidate will establish secure patterns for moving operational data from manufacturing environments into cloud platforms while enabling advanced analytics, machine learning, digital twins, and future autonomous operations.  This role requires balancing security, operational reliability, and business innovation while maintaining the integrity and availability of critical manufacturing systems.  Key Responsibilities   Industrial Security Architecture Leadership    Define and govern enterprise-wide industrial security architecture standards  Establish secure edge-to-cloud connectivity patterns  Develop reference architectures for industrial AI, digital twins, and advanced analytics  Define approved deployment patterns for manufacturing environments  Serve as the primary architectural authority for OT cybersecurity initiatives    Purdue Model & Industrial Network Architecture  Design and govern solutions across Purdue Levels 0 through 5  Define segmentation and trust boundaries between:      Control Systems  Manufacturing Operations  Industrial DMZ  Enterprise Networks  Cloud Platforms    Establish secure communication paths between operational and enterprise environments  Develop strategies for secure remote access and vendor connectivity    Secure Industrial Data & AI Architecture    Define approved architectures for:    Industrial data collection  Historian integration  Industrial IoT  Edge analytics  AI model deployment  Digital twin environments    Ensure operational data can be securely leveraged for:    Predictive maintenance  Process optimization  Reliability engineering  Advanced analytics    Establish governance for AI deployment within manufacturing environments  Additional Responsibilities   Edge Computing & Industrial IoT Security  Define secure deployment patterns for:  AWS IoT Greengrass  IoT SiteWise  IoT TwinMaker  Edge gateways  Industrial data brokers  Establish device identity and certificate management standards  Define secure software deployment and update mechanisms for edge environments  Ensure secure operation during network interruptions and disconnected operations    Security Governance & Compliance  Establish cybersecurity controls aligned with:  IEC 62443  NIST CSF  NIST SP 800-82  Corporate standards  Conduct architectural security reviews for digital manufacturing initiatives  Define risk assessment methodologies for industrial systems  Partner with Corporate Cybersecurity teams to ensure alignment between IT and OT security programs    Platform & Product Security  Define security architecture for multi-tenant industrial software platforms  Establish customer data isolation requirements  Define identity and access management strategies  Establish customer-managed key and encryption architectures  Define audit logging and compliance requirements for industrial SaaS solutions    Cross-Functional Leadership  Partner closely with:  Principal Manufacturing & Semantic Architect  Principal Industrial AI Data Architect  Principal Edge & OT Architect  Platform Engineering Teams  Manufacturing Operations  Reliability Engineering  Corporate Cybersecurity  External Customers and Partners  Minimum Qualifications   Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related discipline; Associate's Degree with experience in process manufacturing will be considered   7+ years of experience in:   Industrial Control Systems  Operational Technology  Industrial Cybersecurity  Manufacturing Architecture    Deep expertise in:  Purdue Enterprise Reference Architecture  Industrial Network Segmentation  IEC 62443  NIST Cybersecurity Framework  NIST SP 800-82    Experience with:  PLCs  DCS platforms  SCADA systems  Industrial Historians  Manufacturing Execution Systems    Experience designing secure architectures for:  Industrial IoT  Edge Computing  Cloud Integration  Digital Manufacturing Platforms  Preferred Qualifications Experience with:  AWS IoT Greengrass  Industrial Digital Twin platforms    Familiarity with:  ISA-95  ISA-88  CFIHOS  Industrial AI and Machine Learning deployments    Relevant certifications such as:  GICSP  CISSP  ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert  AWS Security Specialty  Leadership Expectations Operate as the enterprise authority for industrial security architecture  Influence organizational strategy without direct authority  Balance innovation and risk management  Drive adoption of secure-by-design principles across all digital manufacturing initiatives  Establish reusable security patterns that accelerate deployment while maintaining compliance      Success Measures  Success in this role will be measured by:  Adoption of standardized edge-to-cloud security patterns  Compliance with industrial cybersecurity frameworks  Reduction of cybersecurity risk across manufacturing environments  Secure enablement of industrial AI and analytics initiatives  Successful deployment of scalable digital manufacturing platforms  Elimination of ad hoc OT-to-cloud integrations  Other   We are an Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action employer.
