Project Controls Analyst

Job Summary The Project Controls Analyst supports the Solution Delivery organization by improving the structure, quality, and usability of project and customer support data used to manage delivery performance. The role contributes to schedule control, resource visibility, risk tracking, and project reporting and customer support by maintaining reliable information and supporting consistent project controls practices This is an entry-level individual contributor role within the Project Controls and PMO function. The role combines foundational project controls discipline with data analytics, reporting, and PMO systems support. The analyst works with project managers and stakeholders to help ensure that project plans, progress updates, and reporting outputs are accurate, consistent, and decision-relevant. The position also supports the evolution of solution delivery toward more integrated, automated, and data-driven project controls, including dashboards, workflows, and early-stage AI-enabled capabilities.   What You Will Do You will work alongside project managers and delivery teams to ensure that project controls are reliable, actionable, and drive outcomes. Core responsibilities include: Maintain and improve project schedules, ensuring alignment with actual execution progress Translate delivery status into clear, decision-relevant reporting for internal leadership and customers Identify inconsistencies between plans and reality and drive correction with the delivery team Support forecasting, resource visibility, and risk tracking to enable early intervention Ensure project data is trusted without reconciliation cycles This is not a reporting role. If the schedule is wrong, you fix the schedule with the team.   How You Will Create Impact Your success is measured by delivery outcomes, not by the quality of artifacts. Over time, you will: Move project controls from  reactive reporting to forward-looking steering Increase confidence in schedules and forecasts across projects Enable earlier identification and mitigation of risks Reduce dependency on manual reconciliation and subjective interpretation You will introduce more advanced methods such as predictive forecasting, scenario modeling, and automation — always anchored in real project execution.   What This Role Is Not This role sits deliberately between traditional project controls and pure analytics. It is not: A business intelligence or data science role focused on building analytics products A traditional scheduling role focused on maintaining tools A strategy or consulting role analyzing organizational performance If your primary motivation is to build dashboards, optimize data pipelines, or work detached from delivery teams, this role will not meet your expectations.   What We Are Looking For We are looking for individuals who combine structured thinking with a bias toward real-world execution. You are likely a strong fit if you: Prefer resolving inconsistencies over perfecting models Are comfortable working with incomplete or imperfect data and still enabling decisions Challenge assumptions when data does not reflect actual progress See tools and analytics as a way to improve delivery systems, not as an end in themselves Are motivated by making projects succeed, not just by making data look correct You are drawn to environments where: Reality is messy Progress depends on influencing teams, not just building tools Improvement requires both structure and persistence   Primary
