Duration: June 1st - August 7th Location: Remote Project Management : About the Internship We’re looking for a Project Management Intern who is passionate about organizing people, systems, and workflows. What You'll Learn & Gain: • Real-world experience managing a live software development project from planning to delivery. • Exposure to Agile methodologies and project tracking tools (like Github Issues). • Close collaboration with developers for effective cross-disciplinary development • Mentorship and weekly check-ins to guide your growth and address challenges. • A meaningful project to add to your portfolio or resume. What You’ll Do: • Help define timelines, deliverables, and milestones for the product. • Design and lead project direction and implementation. • Facilitate team standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. • Track progress and help unblock team members as needed. • Communicate updates to leadership and ensure alignment on goals. Ideal Candidate: • Excellent communicator and organizer. • Interested in learning about tech project management. • Comfortable using or learning Project Management tools (Preferably GitHub Issues) • Eager to contribute and grow in a supportive environment. Application Developer: About the Internship Join a mission-driven team building an application using React and JavaScript. As an Application Development Intern, you’ll gain real hands-on experience working in a collaborative environment on a real product that will help connect people across our community. What You'll Learn & Gain: • Experience building features and components from the ground-up in React. • Guided mentorship in writing clean, modular code and using Git effectively. • A supportive environment to experiment, ask questions, and grow as a developer. • A portfolio project you can showcase to future employers. What You’ll Do: • Build and refine React components and application features. • Collaborate with designers and project managers to translate ideas into working code. • Learn and contribute to good coding practices, version control, and team workflows. • Participate in weekly check-ins and code reviews. • Deploy applications to production environments. Ideal Candidate: • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React. • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and GitHub. • Understanding of databases and data management • Eager to learn and open to feedback. • Passionate about building tools that help people. • Self-motivated and willing to ask for help when needed. Internship: UI/UX Design: About the Internship We’re designing an application, and we want a UI/UX Intern who’s excited to contribute ideas, design beautiful interfaces, and think through user flows. You’ll work alongside developers and a project manager to shape how users interact with our platform. What You'll Learn & Gain: • Experience designing features for an application. • Mentorship from experienced team leads on best design practices and tools (Figma, etc). • Understanding of how design connects to development and project delivery. • Feedback-driven design iterations and a portfolio-worthy project. What You’ll Do: • Create wireframes, mockups, and design components for the mentorship app. • Think through user journeys and identify opportunities to simplify and improve UX. • Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately. • Contribute to design systems and documentation. Ideal Candidate: • Familiar with Figma or other UI/UX tools. • Passionate about clean, user-friendly design. • Curious, collaborative, and eager to learn. • Interested in how design and development work together. Compensation: As the primary focus of this internship is on learning and growth, it is offered on an unpaid basis to support skill-building and real-world experience.
