Role Description
The Registered Pharmacy Technician, Rx To Go is responsible for performing routine and non-routine pharmacy technician functions and activities related to the position.
• Work schedule: Monday - Friday 11:30 am - 8:00 pm
• Must be able to multi-task between multiple software programs and/or applications.
• Handle multiple telecommunication lines and work efficiently in all Microsoft programs.
• Exercise excellent communication skills to interact with all levels of internal and external parties.
• Document all information accurately and professionally.
• Effectively use, pronounce, and spell common medical and pharmacy terms.
• Maintain open lines of communication with immediate supervisor and/or manager under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• No patient counseling will be completed by the Registered Pharmacy Technician, Rx To Go.
Intake Team:
• Responsible for pharmacy insurance data entry and verification of insurance benefits.
• Provides exceptional service to patients, staff, insurance representatives, pharmaceutical representatives, vendors, and fellow employees.
• Interacts professionally to promote effective exchanges of information.
• First line of communication for inbound/outbound telephonic calls, e-mails, and internal computer program communications for the pharmacy department.
• Coordinates with appropriate teams in the pharmacy to expedite all pharmacy services.
Adherence Team:
• Responsible for documenting and encouraging therapy adherence under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.
• Maintains accurate medication information (missed doses, medication reconciliation, patient-reported side effects, and dose changes).
• Investigates prescription barriers, reports order updates to the clinic, and schedules orders for delivery/pickup in a timely manner.
Revenue Team:
• Ensures that prescriptions are processed for eligible patients and properly billed to their benefit plan.
• Works with insurance companies to resolve billing issues and communicates any potential delays to the appropriate pharmacy staff members.
• Provides support to the Revenue Manager for the day-to-day financial operations of the pharmacy and is an active member of the audit team.
Dispensing & Distribution Team:
• Responsible for the dispensing of oral oncology medications under the supervision of the Dispensing Operations Pharmacist.
• Includes accurately counting and filling, ordering and stocking, packaging, and shipping of oral oncology medications.
Qualifications
• A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education is required.
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in specialty, retail, mail order, or hospital pharmacy is required.

• Active Registered Pharmacy Technician license in state of residence is required.
• Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) is preferred.
