**Job Summary**
As a Remote Medical Customer Service Specialist – part time, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and families, resolving issues in a timely manner, and maintaining a working knowledge of workflow systems. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
* Review and identify issues from calls into the telephony system in a timely manner (50%)
* Maintain a working knowledge of workflow systems to properly assign follow-up dates, department requests, and notate appropriately (10%)
* Ensure all calls within business hours are answered and handled appropriately while providing exceptionally high customer service to callers within company guidelines (10%)
* Perform payment transactions and request payment from accounts reflecting a balance (10%)
* Assist with clerical duties as needed, such as email, facsimile, etc. (10%)
* Requires close supervision and guidance from the supervisor (10%)
**Key Qualifications**
* 1+ years of medical revenue cycle experience
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Proficiency in workflow systems and software applications
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
**Preferred Qualifications**
* 2+ years of medical revenue cycle experience
* Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
* Certification in medical revenue cycle or customer service
* Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance
