**Job Summary**
As a Network Protection Examiner Understudy, you will work with our business clients to conduct needs analysis related to systems and business processes, ensuring that our solutions are aligned with internal tooling, business strategies, and departmental standards. You will also manage timelines for planning, coding, testing, and implementation to ensure that our solutions are delivered on time and within budget. Additionally, you will participate in system and acceptance testing, and provide support to ensure effective communication between business and Innovation groups.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Work with business clients to conduct needs analysis related to systems and business processes
* Ensure that solutions are aligned with internal tooling, business strategies, and departmental standards
* Manage timelines for planning, coding, testing, and implementation to ensure that solutions are delivered on time and within budget
* Participate in system and acceptance testing
* Provide support to ensure effective communication between business and Innovation groups
* Collaborate with experts to analyze breaches, develop quick response plans, and enhance security measures
* Develop and maintain knowledge of industry trends, threats, and best practices in cybersecurity
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
* Fundamental knowledge of data security and threat relief standards, theories, and practices
* Experience or exposure to Proofpoint PhishAlarm preferred
* Experience or knowledge of ServiceNow Administration, Risk and Compliance (GRC) preferred
* Essential knowledge of business analysis, process modeling, and improvement preferred
* Major understanding of project management systems, including the ability to design, manage, and maintain a complex, organization-wide program preferred
* Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels within the organization, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders preferred
* Fundamental knowledge of technical environment required
* Openness to Agile philosophies preferred
* Coursework or experience related to Network Security preferred
* Ability to remain organized and manage multiple and simultaneous tasks under tight deadlines preferred
* Past investigator entry-level position experience within the past year preferred
* Experience solving business problems in a capstone or case competition preferred
* Functions well in a culture that is open, direct, conscious, gracious, and empathetic
* Fast learner, self-motivated, team-oriented, with a sense of humor
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working in a cybersecurity role, preferably in a network protection or incident response capacity
* Knowledge of threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and incident response
* Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems
* Familiarity with cloud security platforms and services
* Experience with security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) tools
* Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and GDPR
