As an IHSS Navigator, you'll work closely with high-needs IHSS recipients, providing guidance, support, and advocacy to help them navigate the complexities of public assistance programs. This is a full-time, 6-month contract position with a competitive hourly rate of $25-27 per hour. **Key Responsibilities** * Work with high-needs IHSS recipients, often in emergency situations or requiring guidance on navigating public assistance programs such as IHSS and Medi-Cal * Handle inbound calls and correspondence, providing accurate and timely responses to customer inquiries * Collaborate with various staff members to ensure seamless operations and maintain records and proper documentation * Perform light administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and envelope packing * Handle email and phone inquiries in a professional and courteous manner * Enter accurate information into the database * Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized support and guidance **Essential Qualifications** * Recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field, such as Psychology, Sociology, or Counseling * 1-3 years' experience in social work or homecare administration * Previous Call Center or Customer Service experience * Microsoft Office proficient * 40 wpm typing speed * Ability to pass a background screen after acceptance of job offer **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working with high-needs populations, including those with disabilities or chronic illnesses * Knowledge of public assistance programs, including IHSS and Medi-Cal * Bilingual or multilingual skills * Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work effectively in a team environment * Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook * Strong organizational and time management skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
