**Job Summary**
As a customer service representative on our remote team, you will play a critical role in supporting the non-profit scholarship program by providing exceptional service to families and schools participating in the program. You will be responsible for responding to incoming calls related to student inquiries, scholarship application and funding status, and ensuring that all questions are answered, callers are satisfied, and students are registered.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Respond to incoming calls from families and schools participating in the scholarship program
* Provide accurate and timely information regarding scholarship application and funding status
* Address student inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and empathetic manner
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of all interactions
* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and escalate concerns as needed
* Meet or exceed performance metrics and quality standards
* Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge
**Qualifications**
* At least one year of customer service or call center experience
* English proficiency
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
* Ability to remain empathetic, personable, and compassionate during sometimes difficult, tense situations
* Self-motivation, detail-orientation, and ability to multitask
* Accurate typing and keyboard skills; comfort with PC/internet navigation
**Essential Skills and Competencies**
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
* Strong typing skills (at least 40 wpm)

* Experience working in a non-profit or educational setting
* Familiarity with scholarship programs or student financial aid
* Bilingual or multilingual skills
