You will be responsible for participating in high-volume outbound and inbound call campaigns, answering customer questions related to the Department of Education's Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and providing empathic support to customers. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
As a Customer Service Representative I at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
* Participating in high-volume outbound and inbound call campaigns based on assigned call lists
* Adhering to approved call scripts and compliance guidelines
* Providing consistent high-quality service to customers
* Responding to customer questions while ensuring the highest standards of customer service
* Utilizing software, scripts, and tools appropriately
* Appropriately documenting all encounters in clear and concise online logs
* Employing empathic support to customers
* Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Good customer service skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Professional phone voice and etiquette
* Ability to follow instructions and scripts
* Skilled in active listening
* Proficient with computers, and good typing skills
* Strong time management and decision-making skills
* Knowledge of the FAFSA
* Knowledge of college financial aid and admissions processes
**Qualifications**
To be considered for this role, you must:
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
* Have four to six months of customer service experience in a call center environment
* Be available to work a full-time temporary position with a schedule of 45 to 90 days
**Physical and Mental Demands**
As a remote employee, you will be required to:
* Occasionally move about when working inside the office
* Perform repetitive motion
* Regularly operate a computer, phone, and general office equipment
* Regularly communicate with other employees and on the phone, virtually, or in person with clients
* Regularly have close visual acuity to view and enter information into computer and software systems
* Maintain mental focus and exchange detailed and accurate information through oral and written communication
**Work Environment**
As a remote employee, you will work in a climate-controlled office environment with no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
