JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Workday Adaptive Planning & Finance Consultant to join our Application Management Services (AMS) team. This is a dual-expertise role that requires strong hands-on capabilities in both Workday Adaptive Planning and Workday Financial Management (FINS), as the successful candidate will be expected to support multiple client accounts across both areas within the AMS function.
The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities, builds strong client relationships, and can work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide ongoing AMS support for Workday Adaptive Planning and Workday Finance modules across multiple client accounts
Troubleshoot, resolve, and manage support tickets related to Adaptive Planning and FINS configurations
Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday Adaptive Planning models, reports, and workflows
Support Workday Finance business processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and related modules
Collaborate with the AMS team to ensure consistent service delivery and high client satisfaction
Build and maintain strong relationships with AMS customers — acting as a trusted advisor and point of contact
Identify opportunities to grow and expand AMS customer relationships
Enforce AMS best practices and standards across all client engagements
Manage multiple support workstreams simultaneously with strong time management and prioritization
Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders on issue resolution, updates, and recommendations
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven hands-on experience with Workday Adaptive Planning — model building, planning, forecasting, and reporting
Strong experience with Workday Financial Management (FINS) — business process configuration, GL, AP, AR, and related areas
Experience working in an AMS or managed services environment is highly preferred
Solid understanding of Workday Business Processes and configuration best practices
Excellent time management skills — ability to manage multiple client accounts and priorities simultaneously
Strong communication skills — written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to take ownership of assigned areas and work with minimal supervision
Client-facing experience with a track record of building and maintaining strong relationships
Workday Adaptive Planning certification — strongly preferred / required
Workday FINS certification — strongly preferred / required
Consultant or Senior Consultant level experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Technology, or related field
