• *Website Content Manager (TEMPORARY) • *Wisconsin Law Help • *REMOTE (in-person options available) • *Full-time • *April 1, 2026 • *Introduction: LAW is seeking applications for a Website Content Manager Legal Action of Wisconsin, Inc. (“Legal Action”) is a non-profit law firm, funded by the federal Legal Services Corporation, the Wisconsin Trust Account Foundation, and many other sources and supporters. Legal Action provides free civil legal aid to low-income persons in Wisconsin with offices in Milwaukee, Madsion, Racine, Oshkosh, Green Bay, La Crosse and Wausau. Legal Action attorneys and paralegals have expertise in a range of substantive areas, but most of our direct representation is in the areas of housing, public benefits, removing barriers to employment, consumer law, and family law. • *Mission Statement: Legal Action’s mission is to deliver exceptional civil legal services and structural change advocacy, free of cost, to those most in need. Please see our website for a description of the core values and vision that guides our work. • *Office Location: This position will be based in Legal Action’s Wausau office for budgeting purposes, but the position is fully remote. • *Term of Employment: This temporary position can start as soon as May 4, 2026, and will conclude October 31, 2026. • *Governance: Legal Action’s personnel policies govern this position. • *Position Description:** The Content Manager for Wisconsin Law Help (WLH) will play a central role in the creation, organization, and maintenance of plain language legal content for WisconsinLawHelp.org. Working closely with the Project Manager, legal experts, and a network of volunteers, the Content Manager will ensure all information is accurate, accessible, and aligned with the project’s mission of bridging the justice gap. The Content Manager will provide limited administrative and coordination support to the Project Manager, as needed. This position is part of the Wisconsin Law Help (WLH) project, a statewide initiative led by Legal Action of Wisconsin to bridge the justice gap in Wisconsin. WLH is a free, public-facing legal help website designed to make the civil legal system accessible for all, especially those who are unable to afford an attorney. WLH provides user-friendly legal information, guided interview to match users with legal help options, and a directory of free and low-cost legal help options. Our mission is to provide legal help to those who otherwise cannot afford it, and our vision is equal justice for all. Applicants passionate about improving access to justice are encouraged to apply. • *Key Responsibilities:** Content Management & Development: • Manage the full lifecycle of content, from initial drafting through publication. • Ensure consistency in content structure, formatting, and taxonomy across the website. • Work with attorneys, subject matter experts, and/or stakeholders to ensure that content is accurate, in plain language, and up-to-date. • Apply best practices for digital accessibility and plain language. • Coordinate the subject matter review process, including routing content to legal experts and incorporating their feedback. • Oversee content scheduling to ensure timely drafting, review, updates, and publication of articles. • Maintain the content management system to track content: article topics, assigned volunteer, status of articles, and monitor deadlines. • Collaborate with External Relations to create a variety of content in addition to text, such as flowcharts, videos, handouts, etc. • Volunteer & Review Coordination: • Recruit, onboard, and engage volunteer legal experts to support content development and review. • Maintain clear communication with volunteers, setting expectations and managing timelines to ensure content remains on track. • Track volunteer assignments and timelines. • Serve as the primary point of contact for content-related requests, questions, and updates. • Content Strategy & Accessibility: • Collaborate with the Project Manager and stakeholder committee to identify and develop new content areas and digital tools for users. • Collaborate with External Relations to contribute to content strategy by maintaining a content calendar aligned with audience needs. • Offer input on site structure, user experience, and search optimization to enhance access to information. • Develop and enforce content governance standards, including style guide, and content management processes and workflows. • SEO & Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
