Job Description:
Education: High school Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
Experience: 5-9 years
Under general supervision, manage and operate a virtualized Microsoft environment. Perform daily system checks, review and respond to events reflected in various management tools, perform server patch management. Notify Government representative of issues involving performance of the operating environment. Conduct system audit reviews and perform maintenance functions as required to ensure system health. Coordinate efforts with other work centers and personnel to resolve incidents or events related to systems and supporting infrastructure. Knowledge of Active Directory, clustering, Domain Name System, and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. Knowledge of and adherence to change control standards and procedures, problem resolution, and troubleshooting techniques, the use of remote server management tools. Work is performed in 24/7 environment and must be able to work second/third shifts, weekends, and holidays. Five to nine (5-9) years of experience required.
Clearance: Secret
Certification: Must possess VMware Certified Associate (VCA) certification. Must obtain VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification within 6 months. Certified in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II.
