Vice President of Implementation

Role Overview The Vice President of Implementation is an executive leadership role responsible for the strategy, performance, and scalability of Accordant’s enterprise software implementation consulting services. This leader owns the vision and execution of our Implementation platform, ensuring delivery excellence, operational rigor, and sustainable growth across all client engagements.  Reporting to senior leadership, the VP of Implementation serves as the senior authority for implementation delivery and is accountable for client outcomes, consultant utilization, implementation group profitability, and the ongoing evolution of our delivery model. This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Client Success Management, Finance and Operations, and other AMS department leaders to ensure Accordant delivers predictable, high-quality implementations that enable long-term client success.  You will lead and develop a team of Implementation Managers who oversee day-to-day project execution and implementation consultant performance, while you focus on enterprise-wide implementation delivery strategies, capacity planning, and operational optimization. A core responsibility of this role is the need to ensure our implementation consultants are effectively utilized while simultaneously protecting growth, development, and retention.  This is a high-impact, seat-at-the-table role for a leader energized by scale, clarity, and building processes which enable client success and promote team excellence.  Key Responsibilities  Leadership & Strategy  Own the enterprise software implementation delivery strategy across Sage, Acumatica, and future enterprise software offerings  Define and continuously evolve the AMS implementation operating models, methodologies, and standards  Serve as a senior leader within AMS, contributing to broader organizational strategy, growth planning, and execution  Delivery Excellence & Client Outcomes  Maintain a high bar for implementation quality and consistency, including scoping, configuration, data migration, integrations, training, and transition to post–go-live support  Act as the executive escalation point for complex or high-risk client engagements  Ensure implementations deliver measurable business value and align with client success outcomes  Financial & Operational Accountability  Own the key performance indicators (KPIs) for our implementations, including utilization, margin, delivery timelines, client review metrics, and more  Partner with Finance and Operations team members as well as executive leadership on capacity planning, group performance analytics, and profitability optimization exercises  Identify delivery trends, risks, and opportunities, translating insights into actionable improvements  Team Leadership & Talent Development  Lead, coach, and develop a team of Implementation Managers, enabling them to effectively lead project teams and client engagements  Build a strong leadership bench and scalable talent model to support growth  Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development  Cross-Functional Partnership  Partner closely with Sales to support accurate client engagement scoping, realistic delivery expectations, and smooth pre-to-post sale handoff processes  Collaborate with Client Success Management, Client Enrichment, and Ongoing Support to ensure seamless transitions post-implementation and maximize the potential for long-term client value realization  Work alongside Product and Technology leaders to innovate and enhance our delivery infrastructure, software-based processes, and related tooling  Continuous Improvement & Scale  Drive ongoing optimization of the AMS implementation processes, tools, and technology stack  Lead initiatives to improve speed-to-value, delivery efficiency, and consultant experience  Prepare the Implementation function for meaningful incremental scaling, consistent with the long-term growth goals of Accordant  Required Experience  10+ years of experience leading enterprise software implementations, ideally within a consulting, managed services, or Value-Added Reseller (VAR) environment  Proven leadership experience overseeing multi-team delivery organizations (Directors, Managers, or equivalent)  Strong background in ERP implementations; experience with Sage and/or Acumatica preferred  Demonstrated success managing utilization, margins, and operational performance in a professional services model  Ability to operate credibly at both executive and delivery-detail levels  Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills  Ability to operate effectively in a remote environment. Preferred Qualifications  Experience scaling a professional services or implementation practice in a high-growth environment  ERP certifications and/or industry experience, particularly within the construction and real estate, distribution, manufacturing, or professional services verticals  Familiarity with change management principles and professional services technology stacks  Track record of building repeatable, scalable delivery models  Always Choose Exceptional | Lead with Integrity | Embody Respect and Care Deeply | Embrace Change and Innovation    Note: Candidates must be authorized to work in the US or Canada; we cannot provide sponsorship at this time.
