We are seeking a Team Lead FP&A (all genders) based in Berlin or remotely in Germany.
Your mission with us:
As Team Lead FP&A, you will lead and develop a team of four FP&A and controlling professionals while owning planning, forecasting, and financial control processes at PE-grade standards. Acting as a trusted business partner to the CFO and C-suite, you will provide strategic insights that drive profitable growth and operational excellence.
This role is a great fit for a leader with the grit to dive deep into complex topics, who combines team-building skills with a passion for financial modeling and analysis, and who wants to play a key role in scaling Lingoda through strong and reliable financial processes.

Your tasks:
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Manage and improve forecasting / planning process for accuracy, simplicity and scalability.
- Own and enhance complex financial models.
- Drive scenario & sensitivity analysis.
- Lead initiatives for process automation and system improvements finance.
- Monitor budget vs. actuals, analyze variances and recommend actions.
- Prepare investor-grade KPI dashboards and reporting packages.
- Drive cost control to further improve profitability.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and develop a team of 4 FP&A professionals, fostering a supportive, empathetic, and performance-driven culture.
- Provide mentorship, feedback, and growth opportunities to the team.
- Build trust and empower team members to take ownership of their work.
- Collaborate closely with Accounting, Data, and Strategy to ensure financial alignment across the organization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align financial and business goals.
You bring to Lingoda
- 6-8 years of relevant FP&A experience in high-growth tech environments (subscription experience is a plus).
- Previous leadership experience managing FP&A teams in PE-/VC-backed companies or similar fast-paced environments.
- Excellent financial modeling capabilities.
- Experience with modern FP&A tools (e.g. Abacum, Cube…) as well as Google Sheets / Excel
- Track record of process improvement and automation in finance.
- Proven ability to implement finance business partnering models.
- Fluency in English and German.
