WhatJobs Direct is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Logistics Coordinator to join our fully remote operations team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing and optimizing the flow of goods and information throughout our supply chain, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
As a Supply Chain Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipments, managing inventory levels, and liaising with carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. You will monitor shipment progress, troubleshoot any logistical issues that arise, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. Your ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement will be key to driving supply chain excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinating the transportation of goods via various modes (truck, air, sea), ensuring timely delivery. Managing relationships with freight carriers and negotiating transportation rates. Tracking shipments and providing real-time updates to internal teams and customers. Optimizing inventory levels and managing warehouse operations for efficiency. Processing shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs declarations. Identifying and resolving logistical problems and delays to minimize disruption. Implementing process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs. Ensuring compliance with all relevant transportation laws and regulations. Collaborating with sales, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations. Maintaining accurate records of all logistics activities and preparing regular reports. This position is a completely remote role, requiring you to have a dedicated home office space and reliable internet connection. You will be expected to work collaboratively with a distributed team across different time zones. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail. A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in logistics coordination and supply chain operations is essential. Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software is a significant advantage.
