About the position
Eliot’s innovative Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) program serves as a single entry point for mental health and substance use services for youth, families and adults. As a Stabilization Specialist, you will be responsible for providing supportive stabilization services to clients/families in the community in need of crisis support and community stabilization. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to recovery-oriented services and will possess excellent communication, crisis management, and problem solving skills.
Responsibilities
• Provide crisis support and side by side interventions to clients that focus on problem solving, skills training, modeling behavior, optimism, and encouragement.
• Provide interventions in the office, virtually, in the community and in client’s residences based on client preference, client need, and at the clinical direction of the urgent care team.
• Provide and support mobile crisis interventions, stabilization, planning and evaluations.
• Provide follow up and follow along supports as part of short-term treatment planning, stabilization, and urgent care.
• Provide short term case management supports including: managing income, insurance, other entitlements, accessing other services and community resources and scheduling/coordination of all medical and psychiatric appointments.
• Complete all necessary paperwork, documentation, and insurance verification within the established timeframes.
Requirements
• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field
• Experience working with adults, families, or children with severe and persistent mental illness and/or emotional disturbances.
• Valid Massachusetts drivers license and reliable transportation
