Overview
Join our forward thinking team building the next generation of Intelligent Transportation Systems!
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who’s equally excited about cutting-edge technology and having an outsized impact on the future of transportation. Operating as a small startup within a larger company, we move fast, learn constantly, and build solutions that will scale with our growing SaaS platform.

We’re seeking someone who’s not just technically excellent, but genuinely curious, quirky, and thrives in an environment where your contributions directly shape the product the team.
Responsibilities
1. Frontend Development and User Experience

Design and implement user interfaces that make complex features accessible to diverse stakeholders.
Create real-time dashboards and monitoring interfaces for system operators.
Ensure excellent user experience, including accessibility, across all devices and platforms.
2. Backend Services and API Development
Develop robust backend services in Golang that power the GraphQL and other event-driven services of our platform.
Design and implement workflow processing stages in both Golang and Python depending on need.
Integrate with our NATS messaging infrastructure to exchange events and react to new actions in the system in real-time.
Optimize API performance and ensure scalability as our SaaS platform grows.
3. Data Integration and Real-Time Processing
Work with our S3-based Data Lake and Dagster to bring new customer data onto the platform and off-board data to customer platforms.
Integrate with Numaflow stream processing to provide new, exciting AI-driven data processing capabilities to customers.
Build features that help customers understand and interact with their data on the Data Lake.
Implement data visualization components and features to make complex analytic results digestible.
Enable customers to perform “human in the loop” actions to improve/correct the AI capabilities they utilize through a feedback mechanism.
4. Platform Development and DevOps Collaboration
Collaborate with DevOps colleagues on containerized deployment using our Kubernetes/Argo CD infrastructure.
Work with Bazel build system and contribute to build optimization efforts.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle from proof of concepts (PoCs), requirements gathering to production deployment.
Contribute to architectural decisions that will scale with our growing customer base.
5. Product Innovation and Customer Focus
Work closely with product and design teams to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
Rapidly prototype new features and validate ideas with quick iterations.
Build customer-facing tools that help transportation agencies optimize their operations.
Contribute to product strategy based on technical feasibility and innovation opportunities.
