QUALIFICATIONS • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, logistics, operations, or related fields (or relevant internship). • Basic understanding of LTL or freight operations preferred. • Ability to learn transportation systems, digital tools, and reporting platforms. • Ability to analyze trends, identify risk, and proactively mitigate customer issues. • Strong communication, relationship-building, and influence skills. • Ability to work independently, manage multiple accounts, and operate with a high degree of autonomy. • Self-motivated and customer-oriented. WORKING CONDITIONS • Must be able to travel. • Customer interaction including face-to-face meetings. • While this is a remote position, the successful candidate must reside within 50 miles of a FedEx Freight location in Memphis, TN. POSITION OVERVIEW The Specialist - Corp Local provides foundational analytical, administrative, and coordination support to the Corporate Local team. This role focuses on monitoring account activity, preparing routine reports, and supporting execution efforts related to retention defense and post-implementation activation at the local facility level. The Specialist partners closely with Corporate Local Advisors, Corporate Account Management (CAM), and Operations by identifying basic indicators of shipment risk, assisting with service or technical follow up, and ensuring accurate documentation of account activity. This role operates with defined procedures and clear escalation paths, building experience in freight operations, customer execution, and data-driven account monitoring while helping make it easier for customers to do business with FedEx Freight. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES • Monitor assigned accounts and prepare routine performance, volume, and activation reports. • Track actual shipment volume against customer commitments established during the most recent pricing or implementation. • Identify basic trends or anomalies in shipment activity and flag early indicators of activation shortfalls or shipment erosion. • Support customer and internal communications related to straightforward service, process, or technical inquiries. • Coordinate with local operations and support teams to collect information regarding service issues or execution gaps. • Assist customers with basic navigation of FedEx Freight digital tools and systems. • Help remove basic process or system friction that makes it difficult for customers to consistently ship with FedEx Freight. • Maintain accurate documentation of account activity, risks, and follow-up actions. • Support rollout of new tools, processes, and initiatives through administrative and coordination activities. • Escalate complex customer, operational, or systems issues in accordance with established guidelines. • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and compliance requirements. • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
