Qualifications & Desired Experience:
• Valid teaching certification with Special Education endorsement, or eligibility to obtain
• Prior experience teaching students with varying abilities, preferably in a school setting
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP processes, and best instructional practices
• Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt curriculum to meet individual student needs
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Passion for fostering a supportive and equitable learning environment
Responsibilities Include:
• Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in coordination with multidisciplinary teams
• Delivering effective, differentiated instruction to students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
• Collaborating with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure student success
• Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Utilizing positive behavioral supports and intervention strategies
• Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and growth
• Participating in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as required
