Solar Project Manager

Position Overview The Project Manager is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of solar installation projects from initiation through completion. This role combines operational coordination, customer-facing communication, and end-to-end project oversight. The ideal candidate is highly organized, solutions-driven, and experienced in solar operations, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining clear communication with internal teams, dealers, homeowners, and external sources such as cities and utilities. Responsibilities: • Manage a pipeline of 80-100 solar projects from contract to Activation • Ensure all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget • Monitor project milestones, proactively identifying and resolving delays or risks • Track critical timelines including permits, inspections, and credit expirations • Develop and maintain installation and inspection schedules • Optimize workflows and resources to improve project timelines and efficiency • Prepare and submit applications to local jurisdictions and Serve as the primary point of contact for city and utility communication • Ensure compliance with all local codes, utility requirements, and solar regulations • Serve as the liaison between Homeowners and sales partners to maintain alignment among stakeholders • Provide clear, consistent project updates and set expectations throughout the lifecycle • Handle escalations with professionalism and urgency • Maintain accurate and organized project records, applications, and communications • Update internal systems, lender reports, and project tracking tools • Provide regular reporting on project status, risks, and performance metrics • Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction while balancing operational efficiency Qualifications: • Proven experience in solar project management or operations • Strong knowledge of permitting processes and tools such as Solar App+, Symbium, and online submissions • Experience in submitting Net Energy Metering (NEM) applications and Permission to Operate (PTO) in the Big 3 utilities • Experience managing projects through the full lifecycle • Strong lender knowledge with Enfin, Lightreach, Goodleap • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Strong organizational and time-management abilities with the capacity to multitask • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and performance-driven environment • Experience with Quickbase (preferred but not required) Benefits • Competitive salary + performance-based bonus structure • Medical, dental, and vision insurance (after 60 days) • Paid Time Off (PTO) and sick leave • Remote work environment Energy Service Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
