Key Responsibilities
• Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS), and JavaScript.
• Implement and integrate third-party Shopify apps and APIs to extend store functionality.
• Optimize Shopify stores for speed, responsiveness, and conversion across all devices.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and marketing teams to ensure technical feasibility and optimal user experience.
• Perform code reviews, debug issues, and provide technical support for existing Shopify sites.
• Stay updated with the latest Shopify features, e-commerce trends, and web development best practices.
• Contribute to technical documentation and maintain clear, well-commented codebases.
• Participate in project planning, estimation, and sprint meetings in an Agile environment.
Required Skills
• 3+ years of proven experience as a Shopify Developer.
• Expertise in Shopify Liquid templating language, HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS/SASS), and JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of Shopify's platform, APIs, and ecosystem.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Proficiency in responsive web design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Demonstrable experience with performance optimization techniques for e-commerce sites.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote team.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Shopify Plus and its advanced features.
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js) for front-end development.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and how they apply to Shopify stores.
• Experience with conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles and A/B testing.
• Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Familiarity with project management tools like Jira, Asana, or Trello.
