We're looking for an SEO Blog Manager to take full ownership of our content and SEO strategy. This is a part-time role at 5–10 hours per week, with the potential to grow. You'll be responsible for producing high-quality, AI-assisted content that competes at the top of search results and managing every aspect of our blog.
We run a WordPress website and already use Claude (Anthropic's AI) to generate competitive articles. We need someone who knows how to harness AI tools to create outstanding content at scale — without sacrificing quality or SEO value.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow our SEO blog on WordPress, including publishing, formatting, and maintaining posts
- Conduct keyword research using tools like Google Search Console, Ahrefs, or SEMrush
- Generate high-quality, AI-assisted articles using Claude and other tools — you know how to prompt, refine, and edit AI output to genuinely outperform the competition
- Build and maintain a strong internal linking structure
- Monitor traffic trends and rankings through Search Console and Analytics, and use those insights to improve our content strategy
- Identify and fix HTML errors and on-page SEO issues
- Ensure pages are properly optimized — titles, meta descriptions, headings, schema, image alt text, and more
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience managing an SEO-driven blog
- Solid understanding of on-page and technical SEO
- Hands-on WordPress experience (Yoast, RankMath, etc.)
- Strong proficiency with AI writing tools, especially Claude
- Ability to read and fix basic HTML/SEO code issues
- Comfortable using Google Search Console for keyword data and diagnostics
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about content that ranks
Bonus: Experience with Surfer SEO or Clearscope, Core Web Vitals knowledge, or a background in the crafts/DIY niche.
This is a long-term role for the right person. Please share examples of blog content you've managed and briefly describe your approach to AI-assisted writing. Please also provide links to websites you've worked on so we can review your SEO and content work firsthand.
Note: We are looking for an individual freelancer, not an agency. Please do not apply if you represent an agency or team.
