What You'll Do As a Senior Internal Audit Data Analyst at careerzynith, you will be instrumental in automating manual tasks and transforming our audit processes. Your responsibilities will include: • Partnering with Internal Audit staff to identify and execute analytical and automation opportunities within the audit lifecycle • Designing, developing, and maintaining automated solutions using Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Analytical Process Automation (APA) technologies • Creating dynamic Tableau dashboards and visualization tools that provide real-time insights into high-risk audit areas • Conducting statistical analysis and building predictive models to support fraud detection and anomaly identification • Developing and delivering data analysis training programs for internal audit team members • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business processes, identify risks, and establish monitoring controls • Creating, maintaining, and continuously improving analytical solutions that deliver actionable business insights • Planning, performing, and documenting data analysis methodologies to validate the effectiveness of business processes, internal controls, and regulatory compliance • Investigating data discrepancies and translating findings into compelling narratives for stakeholders • Proactively monitoring emerging risks, identifying trends, and recommending corrective actions • Evaluating data quality and working closely with business and Data Warehouse teams to ensure accuracy and reliability • Staying current with emerging tools, technologies, and industry best practices in data analytics and audit automation What We're Looking For We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates exceptional analytical capabilities and a passion for transforming data into actionable intelligence. The ideal candidate will have: Essential Qualifications: • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Data Management, or a related field with analytical or quantitative emphasis • Technical Expertise: Strong SQL skills with working knowledge of databases, ETL processes, and data modeling across multiple business functions • Programming Abilities: Demonstrated ability to develop production-level code • Analytics Tools: Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, KNIME, OBIEE, or Alteryx • Statistical Skills: Experience interpreting data, designing statistical approaches, and analyzing results using exploratory and statistical techniques • ETL Experience: Hands-on experience leading Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) initiatives • Presentation Skills: Ability to communicate findings effectively to colleagues across the organization, including executive leadership • Analytical Mindset: Strong technical skills with a genuine passion for data analysis and investigation, combined with intellectual curiosity • Self-Motivation: A self-starter mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • Programming Languages: Demonstrated analytical skills using SAS, R, or Python • Statistical Methods: Understanding of statistical methodologies including regression, predictive modeling, forecasting, time series analysis, and clustering • Data Handling: Ability to work with imperfect information and uncertainty, handling both unstructured and structured data • Experience Level: Minimum of 3+
