Job Description:
• accountable for day-to-day actuarial leadership of ShelterPoint and its actuarial staff
• focus on people leadership and development of the current team
• support existing ShelterPoint business and concentrate on process development
• ensure actuarial work is high-quality, well-controlled, timely, and scalable
• partner closely with Product, ERM, Finance, Accounting, Underwriting, and Legal for profitable growth
• lead actuarial teams supporting DBL, PFL, and PFML products
• provide strategic oversight for quarterly valuation processes
• coordinate responses, documentation, and analysis for audit readiness
• implement and maintain strong actuarial processes and controls
• provide actuarial leadership and insight to multiple stakeholders
• support product development and translate actuarial results into business implications
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)
• Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA)
• 8+ years of actuarial experience with 4+ in managerial roles
• significant experience in Employee Benefits or related products
• proven experience leading actuarial teams and managing complex deliverables
• strong knowledge of Statutory, GAAP, and Tax reporting frameworks
• demonstrated success supporting audits, governance routines, and regulator-facing work
• strong communication skills with senior leaders
