**The Role**
As a Senior Data Analyst on the Customer Experience Platform team, you'll work closely with product teams to understand customer behavior and inform product development. You'll be responsible for producing analyses, datasets, and data models that measure and inform product development, as well as developing deep systemic knowledge of data from operational systems. Your expertise will be essential in prototyping SQL queries, building tools and dashboards, and automating reporting to generate insights that drive business growth.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Partner with counterparts in product, engineering, finance, and operations departments to produce analyses, datasets, and data models necessary to measure and inform product development
* Develop deep systemic knowledge of data from operational systems (e.g., CRM or ERP software) and strategies for continuous improvement of the reporting capabilities of that data
* Prototype SQL queries to create datasets that support product, operational, and revenue reporting needs
* Build tools and dashboards to automate reporting and generate insights that allow the team to quickly and accurately see how our products and processes are performing
* Proactively identify areas outside the regular stream of business requests where analytics can add value and have a "canary in a coal mine" mentality when it comes to data
* Develop robust methods for QA data to ensure accuracy and completeness
* Utilize strong SQL and data modeling skills to drive business insights
* Apply advanced knowledge of ETL and data pipelining practices to optimize data workflows
* Effectively communicate with stakeholders to disambiguate needs and requirements
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or proven experience in these areas)
* 3+ years of professional experience in BI, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or similar roles, with a focus on understanding user and behavioral data and its relationship to business outcomes
* Strong SQL and data modeling skills
* Advanced knowledge of ETL and data pipelining practices
* Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with stakeholders
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Relevant work experience in a high-growth tech or SaaS company
* Experience using backend data from operational sources (e.g., Netsuite, Salesforce, RevPro/Zuora Revenue)
* Familiarity with Financial and Accounting concepts, data, and reporting
* Experience with Hex, Looker, Snowflake, Airflow, GitHub, AWS, dbt, and Python
