Introduction to Wayfair and the Visual Media Factory Team
Wayfair, a leading e-commerce company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our Visual Media Factory team. As a key member of our 3D Operations organization, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and optimization through data-driven insights and strategic analysis. Our Visual Media Factory team is responsible for producing hundreds of 3D product images every year, and we are looking for a talented individual to help us improve our production pipeline, enhance efficiency, and drive business outcomes.
Job Summary and Key Responsibilities
In this exciting role, you will work cross-functionally with various teams, including Product Management, Data Science, Analytics, Vendor Management, and 3D Artists, to power new business strategies through in-depth analysis of business process data. Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Driving key projects across multiple imagery workstreams to improve production efficiency and output quality
• Creating custom analytic reports by reading and summarizing data and trends to communicate image quality insights to stakeholders
• Improving current processes by analyzing current practices, leveraging data to identify and design process improvements, and implementing changes to drive business outcomes
• Serving as a strategic partner for cross-functional teams, maintaining a wide range of stakeholders aligned on achieving a novel set of value-driven outcomes
• Partnering with Product Managers to assist in designing, supporting, testing, and improving Wayfair's proprietary workflow management tools and production ecosystem
• Monitoring process health and performance, identifying routine trends, and providing advice to increase actionable steps
• Helping build scalable strategies to support data collection and pipeline optimization
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• 2+ years of experience in improving processes, reporting, and metrics in Operations, Business Analysis, or Strategy
• A Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Economics, or another quantitative and technically rigorous discipline
• Highly analytical skills, including experience with reading and interpreting large data sets directly (experience with SQL required, Google Data Studio dashboarding experience preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working in a highly detail-oriented environment
• Ability to break down large, complex, ambiguous goals into achievable pieces
• Ability to tie tactical objectives to broader business goals
• High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Comfortable with ambiguity and developing new strategies from scratch
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
While not required, the following skills and experiences are preferred:
• Previous experience in 3D or Imagery
• Experience with data visualization tools and technologies
• Knowledge of workflow management and production ecosystem design
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems
