Senior Chemist

About the Company IMMEDIATE NEED!!! International in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) and clinical diagnostics company focusing on developing diagnostic technologies and laboratory solutions in molecular diagnostics, immunoassays, LC-MS / mass spectrometry platform development, diagnostic reagents and instrumentation is currently looking to identify and hire an experienced technical leader with extensive expertise in Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) platforms to drive the development and advancement of next-generation analytical instrumentation technologies. This position is not a bench role, but rather a leadership position to develop and support mainstream commercial LC-MS platforms. The hours for this position are very flexible, and can be either REMOTE or HYBRID. The qualified professional will report directly to corporate leadership in Asia. A professional who is bilingual in English and Chinese is highly desirable. This is a Senior level position for a professional with extensive expertise in Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) platforms. About the Role The qualified professional will: • Provide strategic and hands-on leadership across LC systems, Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometry (Triple Quad MS), integrated LC-MS platforms, and associated reagents. • Possess extensive experience within leading global analytical instrument organizations and a proven track record leading complex R&D initiatives from concept through commercialization. • Lead the development and technical advancement of LC-MS platforms, including Liquid Chromatography (LC), Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometry systems, integrated LC-MS solutions, and related reagents. • Provide technical leadership and guidance in solving critical system-level and core module engineering challenges. • Review and evaluate technical implementation strategies, proactively identifying development risks and implementing mitigation plans. • Establish performance specifications, testing methodologies, and validation standards for LC-MS systems and critical components. • Support multiple Triple Quadrupole MS platform development programs by providing expert technical direction and cross-functional collaboration. • Drive innovation and continuous improvement within mass spectrometry and chromatography platform development initiatives. Qualifications • Masters Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related sciences. • Extensive experience within top-tier international analytical instrumentation companies. • Proven expertise throughout the full R&D lifecycle of commercial LC-MS platforms, including LC systems, Triple Quadrupole MS, integrated LC-MS systems, and reagent development. • Strong understanding of LC-MS system architecture, core hardware technologies, and reagent development strategies. • Deep technical knowledge of mass spectrometry and chromatography principles, with demonstrated success resolving complex technical and commercialization challenges. • Ability to independently assess technical solutions, evaluate project risks, and define validation and performance standards. • Significant hands-on experience leading complex R&D projects and cross-functional technical initiatives. Preferred Skills • Experience developing or supporting mainstream commercial LC-MS platforms. • Strong familiarity with industry technology trends, product roadmaps, and emerging analytical instrumentation technologies. • Demonstrated leadership in high-level system integration and core module development environments.
