Senior Building Enclosure Consultant (Remote) Are you a seasoned building enclosure professional ready to lead complex projects and help shape the future of a growing consulting practice? Our client is seeking a Senior Building Enclosure Consultant to join their remote team, providing technical leadership, mentoring staff, and partnering with clients on challenging projects from concept through completion. About the Firm This established building science and enclosure consulting firm works with architects, owners, and large contractors on commercial, institutional, healthcare, hospitality, mixed-use, and multi-family projects across North America. From new construction and commissioning to existing building assessments, roofing, and below-grade waterproofing, the firm delivers practical, high-performance enclosure solutions while fostering a collaborative, mentorship-driven culture. What You'll Do • Lead complex building enclosure projects from design through construction and closeout. • Provide technical expertise in façade, roofing, waterproofing, glazing, and air/water barrier systems. • Perform enclosure assessments, forensic investigations, field reviews, and performance testing. • Oversee project delivery, budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams. • Serve as a trusted advisor to architects, owners, and contractors. • Mentor and develop junior consultants while helping build technical excellence across the team. • Support business development through client relationships, proposal development, and identifying new opportunities. • Contribute to strategic growth initiatives and help strengthen the firm's market presence. What They're Looking For • 10+ years of experience in building enclosure consulting, building science, architecture, or structural/civil engineering. • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building Science, Construction Management, or a related discipline. • Extensive knowledge of building enclosure systems and building science principles. • Proven experience leading cradle-to-grave projects and managing client relationships. • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills. • Experience mentoring technical teams and fostering collaborative environments. • Business development experience and an established professional network are considered strong assets. • Ethical, motivated, team-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional client service. • Willingness to travel approximately 20–30% for project and client commitments.
