Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Analyst in the Financial Planning Systems space, you will be responsible for the end‑to‑end lifecycle of careerzynith’s planning applications. Your day‑to‑day duties will include:
- Application Maintenance: Operate and maintain the Hyperion planning application, ensuring data integrity for both forecast and actual financials.
- Data Validation: Review and approve data loads from Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and other source systems, guaranteeing accuracy before consolidation.
- Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve data discrepancies, including intercompany eliminations, segment roll‑ups, and allocation errors.
- System Enhancements: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement enhancements that improve automation and reporting capabilities.
- Model Development: Build and maintain Essbase cubes, planning applications, reports, and budgeting models for finance divisions.
- Month‑End Close Support: Lead the month‑end headcount process within Hyperion, coordinate journal entries, and ensure timely posting of financial data.
- Change Management: Update Hyperion configurations to reflect organizational changes, working closely with the GL team and external auditors.
- Testing & Validation: Conduct comprehensive scenario testing and variance analysis on complex financial issues and competitive market studies.
- Stakeholder Communication: Partner with cross‑functional teams to translate business needs into technical specifications, presenting viable solutions to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate a blend of financial acumen and technical proficiency:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Data Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a finance role, with exposure to financial statements, reporting, and analysis.
- Strong IT foundation, including experience with Prophet, multi‑dimensional, and relational database structures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
