About the role: We seek an exceptionally motivated Systems Immunologist to join our team of talented researchers in a highly collaborative startup environment at the intersection of immunology, AI, and new genomic technologies. This position offers an opportunity to work on a diverse set of projects related to human immunology, with a focus on cancer immunology and autoimmunity, in support of multiple projects. Location: New York, NY (Hybrid position, must be based in New York City) Reporting to: Systems Immunology Team Lead, External Collaborations What will you do? • Work on various clinical collaborations with pharma partners related to drug mechanism of action, dose selection, and biomarker identification. • Contribute to project planning as an immunology expert; including goals, activities, and timelines, with limited involvement from the direct manager. • Lead the translation of data analysis to biological insights with the goal of generating actionable recommendations to inform drug development. • Perform literature reviews to establish and maintain a deep understanding of project-specific immunological concepts, and simultaneously maintain a broad understanding of the most current updates in the field, specifically as it relates to immunotherapies, immunology, and single-cell technologies. • Clearly communicate findings to external stakeholders in the form of presentations and data reports. • Advise computational teams on matters of immunology. • Take an active role in shaping Immunai's bioinformatic platforms to reflect immunological insights. Requirements Required qualifications: • Ph.D. related to immunology and a minimum of 2-5 years related experience (postdoc or industry)- A MUST • Experience dealing with NGS data (especially single-cell RNA sequencing) including coding and data analysis in R or python - A MUST • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, attention to details, and innovation aptitude • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team • Excellent organization and time management skills, with an ability to multitask • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Desired personal traits: • You want to make an impact on humankind • You prioritize "We" over "I" • You enjoy getting things done and striving for excellence • You collaborate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures • You have a growth mindset • You are candid, authentic, and transparent Compensation: This position offers a base salary typically between $125,000 and $140,000.
