Role Overview
The Payroll Specialist position requires a strong background in payroll processing activities and possesses a basic knowledge of payroll-related state and federal wage and hours laws. This individual’s primary responsibility is to perform the payroll functions for the company, including, but not limited to: processing of detailed time and earnings information to produce accurate gross to net pay calculations in the payroll software and adhering to all financial controls to ensure accurate payroll expenses.
What You Will Do
Collecting and importing all hours and earnings files from various systems and sources for weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing, processing gross to net calculations in the payroll software, auditing hours, gross and net payroll expenses, and communicating with departments and field branches on payroll issues.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience
- Payroll related activities in a multi-state payroll environment
- Strong customer service focus
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of staff
- Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- ADP Vantage Experience (Preferred)
- Able to work in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Capable of learning new technology applications
