Long Capture guides their clients through the federal acquisition process by facilitating Department of War (DoW) strategy development, contract advising, proposal preparation, and business development activities. By leveraging its network of government officials, industry partners, and universities, Long Capture drives growth for their clients in the DoW space.    What Is This Position About?  This role is about opening doors and advancing qualified opportunities with increasing autonomy and accountability. As the Sales Representative, you will research and target the right companies, lead multi-channel outreach across email, phone, LinkedIn, and meetings, and build genuine relationships that turn initial conversations into active, well-qualified opportunities. You will prepare agendas, briefs, and materials, keep meetings on track with clear next steps, send timely follow ups, and log key details in the CRM. Over time, you will take on greater responsibility for managing opportunity momentum, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and representing Long Capture at industry events by initiating conversations, articulating our services, and securing follow‑up meetings. The pace is fast, the work spans strategic and routine tasks, and success depends on strong judgement, proactive planning, clear documentation and communication, and consistent follow through.    Who Is This Role For?  A competitive candidate for this role is an early‑career sales professional who enjoys bridging the world between selling and execution, blending thoughtful outreach with disciplined preparation and follow-through to keep opportunities moving. You bring strong selling instincts and sound judgement, paired with meticulous attention to detail, so meetings are well prepared, discussions are productive, next steps are clear, and commitments are met. You are personable, possessing the ability to cultivate and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with both external clients and internal team members while ensuring alignment on goals, accountability for deliverables, and a consistent, professional client experience. You are the kind of person who can confidently pick up the phone, send a clear message, run a tight meeting, and keep notes and next steps organized without needing close oversight. You thrive in a remote setting, manage your time well across multiple opportunities, and take initiative by anticipating what comes next. And you are ready and excited to learn the ins and outs of the defense and innovation ecosystem.    What Will You Be Responsible For?  Research businesses, organizations and individuals to build targeted lead lists and opportunity pipelines  Find and establish prospective clients through networking, industry research, and outbound outreach via email, phone, virtual meetings, events, and in-person meetings  Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with prospective clients, serving as a consistent point of contact throughout the sales process and beyond  Own qualification and advance opportunities through the sales pipeline, ensuring momentum and clearly defined next steps  Prepare meeting agendas, briefs, and materials and align internal stakeholders ahead of client interactions  Conduct and support sales meetings to educate potential clients on our services  Develop sales proposals and support Service Agreement negotiation steps   Capture meeting notes and relevant information in the CRM  Organize and maintain a clean contact database in the CRM  Maintain competency on industry trends through research, conferences, meetings, and industry events  Represent Long Capture at industry events by cultivating relationships, generating leads, and securing follow‑up meetings  Manage conference and event set-up and tear-down  Collect and report on event related data  Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor at all times  Other duties as assigned  Moderate travel required (~25%)    What Qualifications Do You Need?  2-3 years in sales or client-facing roles  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or related field preferred  Experience using CRM systems to track outreach, manage opportunities, and maintain accurate pipeline data  Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across a broad network of contacts  Ability to follow structured sales and outreach processes  Comfortable running outreach cadences via email, phone, LinkedIn, and live meetings  Strong attention to detail and follow up to keep leads warm  Highly organized and time‑efficient; prioritizes across multiple accounts, follows process, and closes loops reliably  Strong business writing and organization skills   Clear verbal communication and active listening skills; confident presenting in small group meetings or one-on-one's  Ability to breakdown complicated information into layman’s terms  Ability to maintain focus and quality while performing recurring sales activities (e.g., outreach, follow‑ups, CRM updates) that are critical to long‑term opportunity development  Demonstrated sense of responsibility and ability to work independently, take initiative, and work through challenges  Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty  Comfortable with receiving constructive feedback and ability to apply feedback in their role  Growth mindset and adaptability to keep up with frequently changing industry  Ability to adapt quickly to changes, demonstrating flexibility and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment  Proficiency with Microsoft Office  Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time    What Qualifications Are A Plus?  Familiarity with military organizational structure and culture   Experience selling or supporting sales in a professional services, consulting, or advisory environment  Familiarity with longer or more complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders    What Are the Work Conditions & Requirements?  Primarily remote role with regular video meetings;
