We’re seeking a hands-on technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot RF (Motorola/Kenwood) and fiber optic network systems. This role supports both field and facility operations across telecommunications and IP-based networks.
Candidate must be able to reliably commute to Grand Teton National Park or Yellowstone National Park within one hour.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, program, and repair two-way radio systems and RF equipment
• Perform fiber optic installation, splicing, and testing (ISP/OSP, Cat6)
• Troubleshoot RF, network, and fiber issues in the field and on-site
• Support network equipment setup (Layer 1 & 2) and system upgrades
• Use diagnostic tools (spectrum analyzers, service monitors)
• Coordinate with contractors, utilities, and internal teams
• Maintain documentation, reports, and inventory records
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and FCC regulations
• Respond to network outages and service needs
Qualifications
• Experience with RF systems and fiber optic networks
• Knowledge of telecom infrastructure and IP networking
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
• Safety-focused and customer-oriented
