About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Data Analyst to join our team in a remote opportunity. As a Performance Data Analyst, you will be responsible for providing analytical support to our Contact Centers and pre-arrival Walt Disney World Commerce. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement analytical solutions that drive business decisions and improve our operations. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and innovative company and to contribute to the success of our Consumer Insight, Measurement & Analytics team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct forecasting, advert hoc modeling, and deep-dive evaluation to inform business decisions
- Monitor agent performance, proactively identify areas that require additional research, and develop analyses from start to finish
- Build reports and visualizations to inform compelling stories with data
- Present and discuss findings, insights, and recommendations to Senior Leadership and business partners
- Create, maintain, audit, and continuously optimize reports and documents used to support various programs
- Execute programs critical to the business operation under strict timelines
Measurement and Analytics
- Leverage multiple reporting tools and databases (Tableau, Snowflake, Hadoop, Dataiku, Excel, etc.) to conduct analyses and build/maintain reports
- Monitor data quality and document accuracy; improve if needed
- Collaborate with team members, leaders, and business partners to respond to summary business questions with sound quantitative analyses and reproducible results
- Apply progressive analytic techniques to test hypotheses and extract actionable insights
- Stay up-to-date with today's data technology trends and share knowledge and best practices with team members
Requirements
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a strong background in analytics and data analysis. The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of quantitative, non-internship experience in an analytical role
- Familiarity with forecasting, including conventional statistical techniques and/or machine learning or deep learning techniques
- Proactive interest in understanding the "Why" behind performance, decisions, etc.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks and complete projects on time
- Effective communication skills (verbal, written, and visual)
- Desire to excel in a fast-paced, complex, and ambiguous business environment
- Experience with SQL and R or Python
Nice-to-Haves
- Solid knowledge of statistical inference and proven experience in applying statistical rigor to analyses
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices and experience with data visualization tools, including Tableau or Power BI
- Excellent SQL skills and fluency in R or Python
- Ability to quickly adapt and learn new tools and skills
- Ability to maintain and develop relationships with partners/clients/team members
- Graduate degree and/or 4+ years of relevant experience in analytics or data science
