They are seeking a VP of Strategy and Operations to serve as a strategic partner to the President, driving organizational alignment and execution of key initiatives. The role involves leading planning processes, managing operational rhythms, and leveraging AI and automation to enhance business efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the President, shaping leadership forums and driving decision-making
- Lead annual and quarterly planning, translating strategies into focused priorities and success metrics
- Establish and manage the operating rhythm, including portfolio reviews, dashboards, and accountability mechanisms
- Drive high-impact initiatives, unblocking teams and ensuring measurable outcomes
- Identify and address friction points, leveraging AI, automation, and analytics for process improvements
- Support evaluation and execution of growth opportunities, including partnerships and acquisitions
- Influence and drive outcomes across functional teams, building trusted relationships and holding owners accountable
- Maintain a bias for action, moving quickly, learning, and iterating to achieve results
- Demonstrate executive presence, building trust and effectively communicating with senior leadership
Skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred and 10-15 years of professional experience
- Demonstrated success with owning outcomes in a SaaS or software environment, setting a path and delivering measurable results
- Experience in accounting, fintech, ERP, or GRC software is highly valued. You understand complex products, regulated environments, and the customers who buy them
- Full understanding of AI automation fluency: ability to translate possibilities into real workflows, adoption plans, and measurable impact
- Financial acumen: You are comfortable with business cases, unit economics, and investment trade-offs. You can partner effectively with Finance without needing translation
- Ability to bring clarity to ambiguous situations: You diagnose root causes, frame options, drive decisions, and build practical plans teams can execute

- Openness to 50% travel to Wilmington, DE headquarters
- Proven track record as a strategic operator in a SaaS or software environment, delivering measurable outcomes

- Excellent leadership and influence skills, with the ability to drive change and build trust in a matrix environment

- A self-starter with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving strategic impact
- MBA or similar advanced degree is a plus
- Strategy consulting experience is a plus when combined with meaningful operating experience and a demonstrated track record of owning and delivering outcomes

- Experience leading or supporting M&A transactions and post-merger integration
- Background in FP&A, corporate development, business operations, or a Chief of Staff-style role
