Republic Services, Inc. is a leader in the environmental services industry, and they are seeking a Senior Instructional Designer to develop and deliver exceptional learning solutions. The role involves designing company-wide training materials, collaborating with internal partners, and evaluating training programs to improve employee performance.
Responsibilities
- Applies sound instructional design principles in the design and development of blended learning solutions and materials
- Consults with internal business partners and subject matter experts to appropriately scope and align learning objectives to business needs and desired outcomes
- Leads projects with other IDs or independently, maintains project plans, scopes resource requirements, and collaborates with internal team and subject matter experts to deliver effective learning products
- Mentors other members of the instructional design team in established learning design methods, current trends, and best practices
- Evaluates the effectiveness of training programs and recommends modifications according to business goals and objectives
- Guides the creation of impactful assets for eLearnings, animated and instructional videos, job aids, posters, and infographics that are always on brand
- Conducts train-the-trainer sessions to support the facilitation process when required
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent
Skills
- Strong writing skills with ability to adjust according to modality, audience, tone and content
- Create a variety of learning deliverables using industry standard tools such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Articulate 360
- Write, design, and structure content for documents, video, eLearning, and instructor-led content
- Ideate and offer learning design solutions
- Excellent project management skills, with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Effectively guide and motivate individuals without having direct authority over them
- Minimum of 4 years professional experience in instructional design and development within a corporate team environment
