The role involves designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based applications, supporting APIs and microservices, and collaborating with existing engineers to enhance platform capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain cloud-based applications from development through production
- Develop and support APIs and microservices that integrate tightly across multiple teams
- Contribute to platform expansion across additional lines of business
- Collaborate closely with existing engineers and adjacent delivery teams
- Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure modernization efforts
Skills
- Candidate must be US Citizen or Green Card
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Frontend: React
- Backend: Java, Spring Boot, Python, FastAPI
- API & Architecture: REST APIs, microservices, Apigee (strong plus)
- Cloud: Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- CI/CD: Jenkins (current), GitHub Actions (migration in progress)
- Strong understanding of production-grade, enterprise-scale systems
- US-based candidates only
- Preferred time zone: Central (Eastern acceptable)
- Must be willing to work Central Time hours
- No visa sponsorship; visa candidates excluded
- Open to long-term contract with conversion to full-time
