[Remote] Senior Data Scientist, Risk

As a Risk Data Scientist, you will analyze financial data and user behavior to identify risks, develop automated risk controls, and contribute to strategic planning within a fast-paced fintech environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, transaction patterns, and user behavior to identify and assess potential credit, fraud, and compliance risks
• Partner with product, engineering and data science teams to design, build, and deploy automated risk controls and decisioning systems that balance user experience with platform safety
• Provide valuable insights and recommendations to leadership on risk trends, policy improvements, and long-term risk strategy to support Found's growth and expansion
• Proactively identify areas for improvement in existing risk management processes and workflows, and drive initiatives to increase efficiency and scalability

Skills

• 5+ years in Analytics or Data Science
• A strong analytical mindset and are comfortable working with large datasets to derive actionable insights
• Experience with SQL, Python, and other analytical software
• Strong communication skills, the ability to clearly and concisely articulate complex risk issues and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience effectively influencing and partnering with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals
• Previous experience working at a fintech
• Previous startup experience
• Prior experience in risk with a fintech or financial services risk role
