They are seeking an experienced Locum Tenens Business Development Consultant to identify and manage relationships with healthcare facilities while driving revenue through successful placements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with hospitals, health systems, and healthcare facilities nationwide
- Serve as primary point of contact for client staffing needs
- Take detailed job orders and communicate requirements to recruiting team
- Negotiate bill rates, contract terms, and manage spread
- Drive new business development through outbound outreach and referrals
- Manage assignment extensions and ongoing client satisfaction
- Partner internally with recruiting, credentialing, licensing, and operations teams to ensure smooth placements
- Monitor market trends, rate competitiveness, and client demand
Skills
- 3+ years of full-cycle locum tenens physician recruiting experience within a staffing agency
- Proven production history with consistent monthly placements and revenue generation
- Experience working with both direct facility relationships
- Confident rate negotiation experience
- Strong client-facing communication and relationship-building skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Highly organized with strong time management
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage a high-volume desk independently
