Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dice is seeking an experienced Senior AWS Full Stack Engineer to join their engineering team in a highly strategic, hands-on role. This position involves working on both front-end and back-end development, contributing to architectural decisions, mentoring team members, and driving the organization's cloud-native engineering strategy.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, cloud-native full-stack applications using React, TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS
- Architect and build serverless applications leveraging AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront, SQS, and EventBridge
- Develop modern, responsive user interfaces using React, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Build secure, scalable RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
- Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and Serverless Framework
- Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, Git, and modern deployment practices
- Monitor application health, performance, and reliability using Datadog
- Work with cloud-native database technologies including Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, and DocumentDB
- Support modernization initiatives by migrating and refactoring legacy applications into AWS cloud-native solutions
- Participate in architecture reviews, technical planning, code reviews, and engineering best practices
- Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and foster a collaborative engineering culture
- Partner closely with product managers, architects, cloud teams, and external technology vendors to deliver strategic business solutions
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement scalable, long-term solutions
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuously improve development and deployment processes
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing full-stack applications
- 5+ years of experience building modern web applications using React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- 5+ years of experience developing backend APIs and services using Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript
- Strong experience with AWS serverless technologies, including: AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Amazon S3, CloudFront, Amazon SQS, EventBridge
- Experience working with AWS infrastructure including EC2, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, EBS, and EFS
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (required), Serverless Framework, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK
- Experience working with container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS, or Fargate
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, Git, and related DevOps tools
- Experience with cloud databases such as Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, and DocumentDB
- Experience using Datadog or similar monitoring and observability platforms
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or similar AI integration technologies
- Experience working within Agile development environments using Jira
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with a dedicated private workspace

- Additional cloud certifications (Azure or Google Cloud Platform)
- Experience leading engineering teams, mentoring developers, and driving technical initiatives
