[Remote] Senior Accountant (Costpoint)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cherry Bekaert is hiring a Senior Accountant to take ownership of core accounting functions within a Deltek Costpoint environment. This role partners closely with the Accounting Manager and Controller and plays a critical role in close, reporting, and audit support.

Responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and quarter‑end close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
• Maintain accuracy of financial data within Costpoint
• Support billing, revenue recognition, and project accounting
• Assist with DCAA and external audit requests
• Identify process improvements and system efficiencies

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Deltek Costpoint experience required
• Advanced Excel skills
• GovCon experience strongly preferred (FAR/DCAA exposure a plus)
• CPA preferred but not required
