Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Mastra is an open-source TypeScript framework for building AI agents, backed by Y Combinator and Spark Capital. They are looking for a Product Engineer who will focus on shipping features and improvements quickly, collaborating with the team and customers to address key problems and enhance the product.
Responsibilities
- Ship features, fixes, and improvements that make the product better
- Work with founders, customers, and teammates to find the shape of the most important problems
- Get as many of them shipped, tested, and launched as you can
- Point a fleet of agents at the biggest problems and guide them through to working software
- Open a code editor when the work calls for it
- Review PRs, give feedback on plans and architecture sketches, and share your best tricks for squeezing more quality out of the latest model
- Help shape the team's weekly priorities and bring your ideas to our org-wide retros
- Take ownership without being asked
- Plan your own projects
- Address the bot's review feedback before you ask a human for theirs
- Jump into customer channels to solve a problem before anyone links the message internally
- Bring a pile of demos to Friday demo day
Skills
- You've own features end-to-end and love hearing from customers
- You're a full-stack engineer, as comfortable shipping a V0 frontend as you are writing a database migration
- You're comfortable enough in a cloud environment (we run on Google Cloud and Railway) to ship a feature that touches Kubernetes
- You're not afraid to move quickly and break things (but you're really quick to fix them)
- You've definitely shipped production code and owned the outcome
Benefits
- Mastra is fully remote
- We run one-week sprints — plan on Monday, demo on Friday — and we value deep focus and async communication, with enough overlap to stay aligned on what matters
