The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring product quality during production transitions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive maintenance to mechanical devices
- Detect malfunctions through observation (sound or visual)
- Run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality
- Repair broken or faulty machine parts
- Perform emergency repairs
- Choose appropriate materials based on mechanical needs
- Align and calibrate machine parts
- Monitor and report on project progress
- Follow safety rules and regulations
- Conducts lift truck, confined space, and rigging training
- Develop, implement, and maintain processes and equipment to support production
- Provide operational and technical support
- Ensure product quality during transfer from engineering to production, including design and process validation
- Resolve highly complex technical mechanical, electrical & electro-mechanical issues
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly line issues along with quality and offer support
- Analyze, develop, evaluate, implement, improve, and document manufacturing equipment, tooling, processes, and products
- Collaborate with planning and R&D design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production processes
- Assist with analyzing and planning work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow and design layout of equipment and workspace for optimum efficiency and safety
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
- Understanding GD&T including geometric dimensioning and tolerances
- Conduct preventive maintenance to mechanical devices

- Compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Experience in investigating and implementing effective countermeasures
- Strong knowledge of product BOM structure creation, modification, routings as well as parts maintenance, i.e., change notices and action
- Experience in NetSuite systems is preferred
